Jim has mediated hundreds of cases involving insurance bad faith, healthcare, ownership disputes, copyright, trademark, trade secret, real estate, asset purchase agreements, collections, fast-food franchisee dispute, product defect, software, film production, employment retaliation and discrimination, and ADA claims, and has been a mediator in numerous cases involving breach of contract, personal injury, ADA, insurance and TCPA claims. Jim offers mediation sessions in-person or by Zoom. Zoom is an effective platform for mediation, particularly if multiple parties are needed from distant locations. However, the in-person dynamic often is needed.
Jim charges $10,000 per day for cases with a plaintiff's demand in excess of $750,000, and $5,000 per day for cases less than $750,000. Any travel costs or room fees are charged at actual cost. Jim also charges a flat fee of $750 to cover administrative, preparation and follow-up costs. If the parties do not settle at the mediation, I will follow up for up to 3 months to help the parties resolve their case. Further charges will be applied if another session is required or if the parties request follow up beyond 3 months.
